NovoSorb BTM: A Better Dermal Template

Dr Chepla will present on his wide range of experience with NovoSorb BTM to treat complex reconstructions. Using four case examples, Dr Chepla will provide insights into his decision- making process and rationale behind using BTM.

Dr Kyle Chepla is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center and a staff physician at the Louis Stokes VA Medical center in Cleveland, Ohio. He also serves as a staff member of the Cleveland Combined Hand Fellowship. He attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007. He then completed the integrated Plastic surgery residency at University Hospitals / Case Western Reserve University in 2013 and the Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2014. He is an active member of several professional medical societies including; American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) where he serves on several committees. He performs scientific review for several journals including; The Journal of Hand Surgery, Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has contributed educational content to the Plastic Surgery Educational Network (PSEN). His clinical and academic focus is on the management of traumatic upper extremity injuries and care of patients with tetraplegia after spinal cord injury (SCI). He has been invited to speak on these topics at the national and international level.
